Caring for your channukiah or candlesticks

1. If you use shabbat candles and let them burn down, wax will go down into the candlesticks.  This is OK!  To remove the wax, put the candles in a 170 degree oven in a foil pan until the wax melts, then simply pour it out.  Any residual wax on the exterior can be removed by wiping it down with WD-40.  This trick is also good for removing exterior wax.
2. Instead of regular shabbat candles, you can also use a Neronim holder with neronim candles
3. You don't have to polish it, but if you would like to you can use brass polish or silver polish.
